It's a pity Matthew never got to hear about your game, he turned up at the sheepmount to ref a match to find it had been called off the night before but hadn't been told!
Seems at the moment the situation with referees needs addressed quickly , you can't get replies from the secretary and there isn't enough to go around , which is not good for the children.
Just to clarify that this thread refers to the Cumbria girls league, where the appointment of refs is arranged separately from the Carlisle Youth league, although the lack of refs is still very much the same
Also to clarify in respect of the comment regarding the County Cup fixture, referees for these fixtures are also arranged separately from the Carlisle Youth League and are the responsibility of the Cumberland FA County Cup Referees Appointment Secretary.
