As the league don't have a message board ( wonder why? ) I thought I'd post on here, can anyone explain why there's always a mad rush to get games in before April ends, I know that's the cut off date so surely how the fixtures are done needs thinking about. It's farcical and what's the point having leagues when teams can't complete fixtures and teams have to concede games because they can't get all their fixtures played, surely winning a league should be done by all teams playing and not by teams giving points away. Any thoughts?

I guess this backs up a couple of press releases from the league recently, which spoke of the difficulty of getting the season finished. An extension to the season was officially requested by us, but turned down. It now seems that the Cumberland Fa have effectively enforced an extension to determine league winners.
One possibility could be more midweek games earlier in the season, maybe dropping the League Cup competition which takes up some of the earlier dates in the season.

Midweek games early season are a must in the future, in my opinion teams should be playing weekend/midweek for the first 6/7/8 weeks of the season so we can get a good number of games ticked off before the worst of the weather arrives.
