I watched Carlisle City Reds win the U14 tournament at the Sheepmount last week and have to say I was ashamed. Anyone who was there knows what I am talking about. Their reaction to losing their first game (I think it was Harraby) was embarrassing to the club.
Thank you for your comments Ananymous. It would have been nice for you to approach me when the game had finished, but maybe hiding behind this board is easier! I dealt with that issue and if you had bothered to watch their next 5 games, you would have noticed they were first class, not only in their behaviour but the football they produced was deserved of winning the tournament!
However I accept your comments and without them I duly eradicated the problem,. However they are 14 year old boys and at this age are very excitable, like most teams this age, they all have one or two with fire in their bellies!
Well , I was watching the game too and find ' anonymous's ' cmments ludicrous to say the least . The use of the word 'classless' is used in totally the wrong context . The boys were disappointed and a couple were angry over some decisions by the referee but they were determined to win - not an unweloming trait to have in the the team.
As the Manager states , the boys went on to behave impeccably and win the tournament in style and showed ' class ' - right context.
