Have had an e-mail which says it is because player registration cards have not yet been distributed to teams. Future of the League Cup to be discussed at Longhorne meeting on Thursday night.

New dates now out for League Cup fixtures except for U12's which is still to be confirmed, a lack of 3/4 size pitches seems to be the reason, hope this is not a sign of things to come with league games this season as well.

Martin, if you are worried about a lack of 3/4 size pitches, you could block book all of them until the end of the season if the fixtures are out. I did mine by email and have received confirmation.

Saves faffing about every week

Martin I raised this with the cumberland FA and league and with sheepmount and at city meetings . Have sheepmount still only 2 pitches ? I told them of problems we were having last season if they have not acted i cant see under 11's playing saturday mornings ( as under 12's senior football will get pitch priority ) Last season City,Northbank, edenvale and yewdale all used sheepmount so hope league have done fixtures so 2 home and 2 away.

Si - League fixtures look like there is just 1 or 2 U12 fixtures scheduled for Sheepmount each week and there was talk at the U12 age group meeting at Brunton Park at the end of last season of them sticking at least one more 3/4 size pitch on for this season, hopefully this will be happening, hard enough getting fixtures on with the good old British weather let alone having a shortage of pitches. Fingers cross, I am sure it will al be reet! smile

There has been recent meetings between the Sheepmount and the youth league re :3/4 size pitches. Hopefully there should be more available than last season- they were considering putting them up inside full-size pitches.
