Through our links with CUFC we have been asked to provide a team of players to help CUFC captain Paul Thirlwell and ex united player Marc Bridge-Wilkinson through their level 3 (uefa B licence) assessment and we are delighted to be able to help.
Andy Walker's excellent U16 team will provide the players on 21st April at Brunton Park.
Good luck to the lads and to Paul and Marc in their very important final assessment.
Andy's team went to Brunton Park yesterday and spent the best part of 2 hours on the training pitch with Paul Thirlwell and Mark Bridge Wilkinson in their final assessments (two good blokes by the way).
The boys, who incidentally had played the night before, gave their all on a very hot afternoon and worked very hard to help Paul and Mark out.
I would just like to say thanks to Eric Kinder for asking us, thanks to Andy Walker for getting our lads (and a couple from elsewhere) there on the day and to all of the players who attended you were a credit to Andy and our club.
As a ps I have to say that at the end of the assessment Paul and Mark allowed our lads to stay and use the training pitch and to my amazement they played on for another half an hour, this after playing a game the night before and being involved in the 2 hours of assessing, oh to be that age again, well done all concerned.
Just come off the phone to Eric Kinder at CUFC who advises me that both Paul and Mark passed their final assessment, which is good news for them both. Both players asked Eric to pass on their thanks and appreciation to the CCFC lads who were " a credit to your club".
Enjoyed the afternoon glad to hear the guys passed their assessments, quality surface to dive about on to, great to be able to take all parts of your knees home with you after a game ! Good luck to all the u16 lads and Andy for the league run in, get stuck in lads.
