On a similar track, I know that yesterday was decision day for the boys in the CUFC academy, to see who gets kept on.

There seems to be a feeling that there is a preference for Lancashire or North-East based players to be recruited.

did hear a rumour they released all of the u16 players,like brian says probably opting for players outside the region.eric kinder obviously doesnt appreciate the footballing talent cumbria has.

And yet not many of the "out of region" youngsters have gone on to pro contracts. Indeed, some of them don't even finish their apprenticeships with the club.
