Carlisle City U8 would like to welcome Fleetwood Gym FC to Carlisle on Saturday 24th July. We entertain them at the Sheepmount in a 12.00 kick off. I would encourage anyone involved in the club to make an effort to come down and welcome them. They will also have a side at U8 level to play a match against our BLUES, straight after. Should be a great couple of hours and gives us a new Club link. All the Fleetwood team are going back to the Gosling for refreshments afterward, if you are interested.
They are here on a full weekend of football, staying at Wheyrigg Hall, playing Abbeytown on Friday and City Reds on Sunday.smile

Kick-off at Penrith on Saturday is 3.00, so might be time to have a look at the Sheepmount first

City under 8s won their game 5-1, with 3 goals in the first half. The second half was very competitive with Fleetwood pulling a goal back as City added two more.

Hopefully all the players enjoyed it. Will no doubt hear about the second game in due course.

Waza - Roan needs to watch his tongue, that's a free kick "ungentlemanly conduct", you cannot try to put a player off by sticking your tongue out at him.biggrinbiggrin

Pleased he got MOM v Fleetwood, he was quite worried about the game when I was talking to him on Friday night, amazes me how these little lads think so much about their game, great really.

What a fantastic day, for both sides.

Fleetwood 1sts provided us wit a stern test but the boys were at the top of their game and won 5-1, they then played the seconds, adjusting our side and came out 6-1 winners.
Both clubs went to the Gosling afterwards for refreshments and Fleetwood gave a Man of the match presentation which was given to Roan Steele, however a big mention was given to Jaymi Irving.
I would just like to add in my opinion I would have found it difficult to actually give it to any one of them as they all played very well.

A big thank you to Steve and his staff and look forward to seeing you in October.smile
