u12/u16 & u18 leagues are not all completed, but looking at the tables you can see who the deserved winners are,ie. points per games played, results against closest rivals etc

if a team fails to show for a game what score does the other team get awarded??

Where can you see an up to date view of the longhorn leagues?

Brucky,

This link takes you to the league tables-

http://full-time.thefa.com/Index.do?leagueid=6386322

If a team doesn't show, you should get the points. I don't think the youth league uses goal difference does it?

u can go on the longhorn youth league website and click on league results then go to your age group, its not often teams dont turn up,games are usually called off earlier, then the league usually award the points to the non offending team,
ps. nice pic, must be an old one, celtic fans celebrating biggrin

thanks Brian for that, is there a reason why the u16 league and other leagues arent extended for a couple o weeks so they can be played to a finish, Northbank in u16 league must be gutted they have 5 games in hand on Warwick and are unbeaten so far yet the league has finished....no a lot of point in having a league if this is the outcome.
The leagues here in the Borders have been extended for 2 extra weeks because the winter was so bad...why doesnt that happen in Carlisle?? any reason ?
Cant see the point of me travelling to play in a league that doesnt get finished no

fair point brucky, totally agree, league committee wont change the rules, stupid really, for the sake of a couple of weeks!u can see from the U16 table Northbank are the team with the best chance of winning the league, points will have been awarded to your team if abbeytown didnt turn up,have a look on brians link. smile

Extending the league season would make a lot of sense- but the decision always seems to be to end on 30th April. It is going to make a mockery of some of those leagues.

it would seem the league have decided the winners in u12,16 and u18s even though all the games werent completed, fair enough the 12s and 18s champions were deserved as they were unbeaten and were top but the 16s is to be shared by 3 teams even tough one team was unbeaten and had, 5 games in hand! i really cannot understand the comittee, why not have a play off or laet the 3 teams play each other once?

a dont understand why they need to do that with the leagues, you cant really call it a league to be honest. The commitee need to take a good look at their decision and realise the players of the teams would rather it was won outright than to win it like they have, its a complete joke, i travel nearly 100 miles to play on a sunday for a match that basically is no more than a friendly in the current set up....cannae see ma auld man driving me their next season for that..shame a was enjoying playing at city to.
Simple solution if weather is bad extend the league or play midweek in early part of season as well as weekend that way if its bad weather and games are off, its no as hard to catch up...commitee im the 15 year old kid here with ehh no experience and your excuse is ????

a the best to City teams

Brucky

p.s. wee bit worried coz a agreed wae Jay an he's wan o them !!wink
