3G pitch for Annan

I see that Annan Athletic are planning an artificial pitch, and playing their senior games on it.

I can see more and more sides taking this route, although getting the finance will remain an obstacle.

A few in the scottish lower leagues have these pitch already, and with the way the weather has been a few more will be looking at this option.

Apparently they cannot use them in the SPL anymore.

Looking at the surfaces at Wigan and Rotherham on TV over the last few days, anything must be better than what they have.

They can use them in leagues SFL 1 to 3 I think

Stenhousemuir have one and its being used 4-5 times a day just now so teams can get a game, Stenny are making a lot of money out of it to so great idea if teams can afford one,although i played for city u16s last week at Dalston and i hated the pitch, theres to much grit kicked up and ma mam's kicking up hell aboot the grit in her washing machine !!!

Theres a full size all weather pitch in Hawick, thats hardly used City sides should consider trying to use that now and again to ease the backlog, only 45 minutes from Carlisle, although obviously on the better side of the border !!
If anyones interested my dad can book it for them just let me know

It's a fair point- these pitches cannot be easy for keepers, and yet the bounce should be consistent.
