1. City beat the dark side, with Carlos bagging two more goals - I have to say though that IMO the dark side were the better team on the night and the penalty was a soft one, but hey ho.
2. CUFC beat Leeds Utd 2-1 - another fine result for Carlisle at Leeds. Saying that Leeds have a good record at Brunton Park and this is exactly the position they were in the other year in the play off games. Not sure if Luppy went, perhaps if you did and you see this you might want to post a reply.
3. Reds beating Rushden and Diamonds at Borough Park - really pleased for Kyle May who many of the older Carlisle City lads will know from his days training with us when he was just a boy. A trip to Wimbledon at the end of the month, who get decent crowds and a place in the last 16 at stake. Good luck to them.
I don't really like criticising refs but that Mike Dean makes some very strange decisions, and always has done. Having said that, I don't know why defenders spend so much time pulling shirts rather than doing their proper job.
Carlisle seem to be reserving their best results for cup games this year, and Leeds are on a mini-wobble, with promotion not in the bag yet. Maybe the Man Utd win has distracted them.
