And I see they are racking up the numbers of ex-City players. David McCrone scored for them on Saturday..

I went down to the Sheepmount at 10:30am on Wednesday morning and there was only a little bit of water in the goalmouths and i fully expected that the game would go ahead and was surprised that the Sheepmount had phoned Jackie Williamson to call the reserves team game off. Jackie phoned Hendy who then informed me. I immediatly text Barrie Osgood the the Sheepmount had called the game off and i never got a reply back and if we had got an early reply from Carlisle Amateurs the game could have been switched but it is difficult to arrange when people are at workand maybe not get any message until the last minute. It was a poor day weather wise and the weather wasn't going to get any better. Carlisle amateurs had a taste of what can happen when they travelled to Hearts. The Groundsmen at the Sheepmount and Carlisle City committee have a good relationship and we go with there call and it works well. We have played four league games already so we don't need to panic about another midweek fixture.

Oi Carlisle Coach, I see you had another game called off last weekend, I hear there was too much confetti on the pitch at Scotby is that right?

If you had been better organised you could have asked the vicar to switch venues to Carlisle then the boy could have had a game before getting lynched, sorry married, come on Baz your slipping pal!!!

I tried to rearrange the wedding but he as usual gets his own way !!!
Any way its nice to see my side being the talk of the city (soz i mean town wouldnt want people to think im trying to take the city name) im suprised to see your club not signing/ loosing quality players but hey they know the Scotby grass is unbeatable !!

I don't doubt it for 1 minute that you tried to get Peter to get married on any other day than a saturday !!!

Big Phil was in the Gozzy the other week and was telling me how well you are doing, conceding no goals in 5 games, that's excellent. As Brian Clough said "strikers win you games but defenders win you titles". Saying that he did say you were losing at Hearts and you were doing a rain dance on the side to get the game abandoned.

Should be a good game when we play you, I have watched our young County league team a few times this year and they are not bad at all.

Don't be cheeky about our messageboard now, we are doing our best and I think our web site is as good if not better than most I have seen.

I dont doubt for a second that your second string will give us a game, my team are mostly a young side BUT i believe you have to have one or two old ens for experience, you should dust off the boots and give em a hand lol. biggrin

I hope the reses keep taking the points off our rivals wink
