I edited the first post on this thread, due to comments about an individual that may not be true.

Brian as per a comment I made recently. The board is vey open and could be subject to comments which are not thoughts of CC or their members, but as it is a CC site, it could be construed as such, therefore I feel it would be prudent to have a more rigerous access process. These are only my thoughts and dont wish to put more work on your desk, but I did actually see the comments you edited and true or false, they were not what we want, as you correctly announced.

The IP address of the first posting on this thread also appears on the "youth football" thread, so presumably it's the same person, or at least the same computer.

I take your point about access to the board, and possibly having to register. I will give it some thought.

I note on the Gillford Park board that only started a few weeks ago, they are already threatening to ban people.

Come on city !!!
Gillford park rocks and are moving in the right direction only been going 4 years !!
how long city ??? and look at the standard your 1st team play !!
great youth club ! i congratulate that.
come on boys give me a break will you and look at the bigger picture 4 once
we all know parent coaches come and go when the kids give it up or move on
then that leaves the club looking around for others to take it on.
not many do it without connexions !!
i trust walks and wazza have kids in teams ??! that they run.

mr devlin is a true gent also!!

Welcome back Mr A ,

You like a dog with a bone about parent coaches ,

you are spot on about coaches coming and going when their kids give up or move on but you will also agree a small percentage do stay involved especially at a club like city where some people have been around for 10/20 years from playing to coaching to commitee , these coaches are now well established from coming through the youth set up and now managing senior teams

Gillford Park have done very well last few years and i hope they carry on improving but as you say have only been around a short while so only time will tell ,with all due respect they have been in sat league before only to run into problems and drop out so fingers crossed they here for duration this time ,Its gonna be very interesting to see how they do in stepping up in leagues with same squad now midweek games come into equation ,

Good luck for the season Mr A

Welcome back.

We knew the Mr A with attitude wasnt you....handwriting you see.

Yes I have kids in football, but have offered my services when things have gone wrong, or people pulled out. Only U6 have I started. So parentage does have its issues, but I have started a team with out my kin being involved, another U 6 and I intend to start 2 more U6 next season and if I have kids in them I know nowt about them. Granted I do expect someone to take over, but I will offer my services to coaching them all during the season. 5 nights a week if necessary. Stop with the coaching bollox. Its all about participation and ensuring we all have the right procedures set in place to take the kids forward. Please, come and give me a hand....I need all the help I can get. Obviously.
