Having watched games and read the reports online it appears you will struggle to keep hold of Adam Bradley, with workington reds and Penrith intrested in his services. Anyone have anything to add to this?
Having trained the lad over the last three month it is of no surprise that other clubs are interested in him. We took the lad on so that he could put himself in the shop window. We are a club who look to get players into the top level and it maybe that we have done it again. it shows we are a good club to come to if you are and ambitious youngster.
It's absolutely no surprise to me that teams in higher leagues than ours are sniffing around him, he has played a big part in a good second half of the season for us.
Adam has come in and enjoyed playing again and it shows in his performances. He's also joined in the craic and is very much one of the lads. If he does leave us he will be a big miss, but wherever he goes he will do well (IMO).
I know Penrith have been on to him, I do hope that's not what they call an "illegal approach" especially as Mr Brogden and Mr Rogerson are fine upstanding members of the Cumberland FA and on the Penrith Committee as well. I might have to speak to Geoff Turrell or Fred Conway about that one.
My final comment on this is, what on god's earth were Gretna thinking about when they agreed to let him go, cheers fellas, your loss was ours and Adam'gain.
If Adam does leave good luck to him, he would go with our best wishes.
My knowledge is he has been invited down to pre season training with reds, But will wait and see. I don't know the boy personally but having watched the games he has been a class above, kicking, handling and ability to command his box. Only negative thing i have to say is his height he isn't the biggest.
