There is a lot to be said for this, but only due to the parents continual coaching from the touch line. However, to ban all parents would be unfair on the ones who are happy just to come and watch their child play, without causing any problems. Yet again, this would be the mindless minority affecting the majority.
As Warren says there are a few that cannot just be happy that there child is enjoying a sporting activity with their mates and take things far to seriously. To ban all would be extreme, at the end of the day the kids, especially at the younger age groups, love their parents being their to see them playing the game, win lose or draw!
Well I used to love playing when my Dad came to watch me - its special and I used to get a buz when I played well. All kids want to make parents proud .
Ridiculous idea to ban them , unless any kids are in physical danger - my dad encouraged me and gave me advice and I do the same for my son.
