Further to the ongoing debates on School football v league football, I would like to stress that the boys should not be put in the position to haven to choose between representing their clubs or the school.
My son loves playing for both and does not want to let anyone down , kids have worked hard to earn their places in their respective school teams not to mention teachers who give up their time only to find they dont have a team because boys feel pressured to choose.
Surely , we can accommodate both , lets think about it ; please !
This is a very old long-standing problem- I'm sure there was a paragraph in the bible about it!
There could be ways around it- specify a number of players unavailable due to schools games and then the game could be cancelled, co-ordinate dates so maybe the league has no games at all when schools are playing.
