"The following teams did not have thier players registered in our league by the 30th June 2012, failing to comply with league rules, and therefore will not be eligible to play in the first league fixture. A walkover will be awarded to thier opponents.
What about the teams that should have been playing these teams, they are being punished as well, surely the reason for the league is to get kids playing football.I know there has to be rules but june 30th?,the league doesnt start till september,or supposedly!
I have just come back off my holidays to find this out 5 days before the season starts. I handed mine in just after the date. Due to the fact that we were on a break from the middle of May to end of July. I had to drive to everyones house from from Silloth, Wigton etc and had to ensure I could catch everyone in. Why havent they told us sooner that this is the case, basically so they dont give us time to remonstrate. A pathetic decision based on the simple fact that the task of delivering the teams paperwork is too much for one person, they sit until 30.6 then and only then are the processed. So some of them could have been completed before hand, hence relieving the strain.
Why on earth were we to hand them in so early when the people registering them were on holiday for a fortnight the day after the deadline line day any way ? and as discussed at last thursdays meeting they havent yet handed them all out , so how can they punish other teams if there own paper work isnt in order ?
kinda get the feeling they like to make running a team as least fun as possible, honestly dont know how anyone has the patience to do it, every season it gets worse.
