May I start off by saying a big thank you to all who turned up and made it one of our most successful tournaments ever!! Glorious weather,good football and plenty of money in our coffer. Huge thanks goes out to all the volunteers who manned the stalls,ran the Burger van,ran the bar, refereed the games picked up litter and generally mucked in, marvellous, I know i shouldn't single out any one person, but, to see the state of my missus when she got home on Sunday,she deserves tons of thanks.kiss kiss from everyone Karen, also Nicola Nugent and Angela Keyes for the sweet stall brill, and Jo Maclean for 2 days on the Bar. The Alliance team guys for turning up and refereeing, superb well done guys, Dougie Ivison for co-ordinating the refs, Bender and Andy Walker for their 2 days of unlimited toil,also,Waza ,Keysey, and any one else i may have missed out!!! Finally the biggest thanks must got to Festival organiser Brian Hall, a great job and an honour to work with you. Well Done Carlisle City.
yes john i totally agree with you about karen, she done a great job, its not the easiest of jobs i know from past expeiance. well done . and brian the time and effort you put into organising our touraments is huge and you do a great job. as for every one else the list is too big we all know who we are, we all done a great job, from coaches managers players referees parents, also a thank you to the parents for all the cakes, they all went down a treat, they all looked delious and i found it very hard not to have any ha ha. the weekend was a huge to success down to us all. nicolaxx
Unfortunately i wasnt available to help as much this year with it been my daughters birthday party sat afternoon, but i must say it was the best festival of football ive been lucky enough to be involved in so well done to all involved.
it was me telling Bill Martin all the crack, but wont have been far short on that number attending over 2 days what with players supporters etc!!! once again sterling effort.
