Just to clarify- City's intention is to play a reserve side in this league. There is still some confusion as to whether this will be allowed, as the new league will have the same status as the Northern Alliance
That is a very interesting point about us being allowed to put our reserve side in this league. I think this is an FA rule and not a county league rule. We will have to see what clubs like Cleator Moor Celtic, Windscale, workington, gillford Park and Whitehaven AFC do with their res sides as they have all expressed an interest in joining this new league. It is also something for our club to think about as to how we take our senior teams forward. Perhaps this new league will have a 1st and 2nd division? With the stearing group trying to get this league up and running for 2011 / 2012 season we will have to address this matter sooner rather than later. we don't want to be caught out, as I see that some clubs have their members on this commitee.
I presume that those named sides will also be entering reserve sides. Cleator Moor and Windscale are in the same boat as us- with potentially two step 7 sides
