having watched liverpool restore some pride yesterday in the fa cup i feel i need to comment on the poor commentry of clive tyldesely, apart from being totally biased towards man utd(cant forgive him for the "name on the trophy!"comment in 1999) he talks utter ****e,he said "sir alex has an old fashioned respect for the history of the fa cup", he must have forgotton about them not entering in 99/00 due to the world club challenge, some respect for the fa cup eh?
I also noted the remark about the fergie respecting the FA cup etc. but I assumed he said it to try and balance the totally biased views of Jim Beglin who in my humble opinion is a complete muppet.
A lot of these "summarisers" are not worth listening to.
The FA Cup does seem to be devalued by some Premier League teams this season. A few surprises are probably good for the game, but the "shadow sides" who have lost takes some understanding. Newcastle put a weak side out (weaker than usual!!), and probably got what they deserved.
