Annan striker to Longtown
Permalink

I read that the Annan striker Phil Storey, who scored a few goals in the Scottish League, has moved to Longtown. Seems quite a drop in standard.

Phil is a good mate of mine having played with him through the Carlisle youth leagues and at Annan. Phil just wants to play football, he does not want to be sitting on a bench. He wants to go back to enjoying his football again as when Phil is enjoying his football he is a great player. He will do well. .

I think that most lads these days will sacrifice a bit of money and the standard of football just to play and enjoy the game, I for one will not knock that. From what I have heard the Longtown team seems to be a pretty good side with Crowe, Temps, Prinny, Tommo (not sure if thats who posted this, probably not craig, I doubt he could use a computer) and now Phil. I know our County league manager was impressed with them when they beat us 5-2 recently.

They had a good season last year, nearly won the County League, and did win some cups.
