Lack of pitches

We've just found out this morning there is still only one grass pitch available at the Sheepmount on Saturday.

One week before the start of the season, and you have one pitch.  Seems ludicrous to me!

On a plus point Brian .
City U16 have a match organised for 10 30 ko on sunday at sheepmount against a team on a mini tour from Irvine ,
The groundstaff phoned me up on Wed morning to ask if we could rearrange ko time because the piches were double booked ,
This was not possible so Dave and his team are going out their way to mark out another pitch for us to use !
I have always found the Staff there to be very helpful and feel the pitches are close to being the best in the City which is amazing considering the use they get !clap.gif

And for a bit more balance Warren, what about that big hole in your pitch last Saturday?  smile

Well, they did us a favour by putting the pitch up early so we could accommodate our Lancastrian friends, but I am at a loss to know why they didn't just put the pitch in its normal place. Where they put it, was between two full size pitches and it left the goal stirrup holes gaping in one end of the pitch, which was dangerous.....
No harm done, but a little more thought, but thank you to Nick and the groundsman for their help.confuse

Gentlemen & Waza,

I mentioned this amongst other things to Andy King the new MD at CLL when I met with him on Tuesday.

I will be writing to him next week with a "wish list" of things we as a Club would like to see at the Sheepmount and from CLL. This does not mean we will get everything we ask for but Andy was very open and honest with me, as I was with him, and I get the feeling that he is "can do" type of person.

If any CCFC managers, coaches, parents, committee etc have anything they would like me to include in our "wish list" please let me know.

Jeffrey - I have you text about a Gregg's.

Si - Ditto re a cider bar.

Lastly, Andy Walker - well balanced and good touch should read king of the "step down" and touched, Warren Steele should just read king of the steptoes.biggrinbiggrin
