Harraby lost 1-0 at Seaton Delaval, to put a slight dent in their title hopes. However, Wark were also held to a 5-5 draw by Blyth, so Harraby now 10 points behind with 5 games in hand.
Talked to a mate of mine who watched the game at Delaval last night and he said Harraby battered them football wise and Delaval battered Harraby physically wise, with Dabber and Early taking the brunt of it.
He said they lost to a late and controversial penalty and that the ref was shocking.
He also said that Hewy and Milly were going mad on the side lines, nothing fresh with Milly then, but if Hewy was doing his nut that might say something about the referee's performance.
Still with Wark drawing again at home its still in Harraby's hands, although its a big ask playing so many games in such a short space of time. Better keep an eye on "Pud's" legs he's only played 9 games in the last 9 years and now your asking him to play 9 in 2 weeks, amazed if the old fella manages it.
We may as well have the ref's name for completeness. He was Keith Wilkinson, who has reffed a few City games, with no real fuss that I recall. I think he also used to be a Football League linesman.
