It is with deep regret that I was advised yesterday of the passing of George Dobbins who for a long time now has dedicated himself to football and the Alliance league.

I have emailed his family expressing our condolences. Guys like George will be impossible to replace given the time he gave to football.

George will be missed by so many people, throughout the North East & Cumbria.

He did a very difficult job with great honesty and determination.
