definately not enough players in this area, look at northbanks slide in recent years, they used to be one of the best alliance teams, they even beat cufc a few years ago,not enough room for another team from this city
It seems strange to me for a team to go straight from youth football to the Alliance. I'd have thought the natural progression would be the Cumberland County League and then the Alliance.
They are a decent sized club, with teams at all ages. I would imagine they would attract a lot of players who have played for them in their junior and older teams. They have a big catchment area, and I suppose the lads who played in their under 18's teams probably wanted to carry on playing for Warwick. If they have a senior team then this will be possible. Good luck to them.
I agree that Warwick are a decent well run average sized Club, but as Northbank have proved in recent times, Being a well run Club dosen't guarantee that you will be a success at Alliance Level. Perhaps they should go into the Cumbria League first. Carlisle Amatuers have done so, and are having some success. Slowly progressing, getting better and who knows in 3 or 4 years time may progress to Alliance Level. Let's hope Warwick do not enter the League and then struggle. I wish them well in whatever they choose to do.
