As you all know I am in training for the Great Walk of Scotland and having to increase the number of miles per week, I have to go out earlier each morning.
I have been chaperoned on certain mornings by Mr Walker and Mr Wilson, which believe it or not, helps pass the time away as I totally ignore their chitter....
However, this morning at 05.30 I was alarmed to see 3 figures walking toward me and find Mr Wilson and the one and only Mr Graeme Lupton, then closely followed by a Mr Walker.... how disturbing for the local community, how we were not questioned by the Rozzers is beyond me???
I can confirm the 9 miles went without a hitch apart from Wilbos chaffing, Luppys inability to speak before 07:30 and Walk's 10 times table.
A great morning and to be honest a great turn out by members, who give me the will to carry on, even though they also give me the will to terminate my existance...hope your all ok boys, after watching a clean pair of heels this morning....watch out for the tiny horses...
We are doing 8 mile in a morning before work (5.30 to 7.30) more or less monday to friday and trying to get in a 12 -16 mile walk in on either a saturday or sunday.
I have to say that it has become quite routine and we do it without too much effort, with the exception of Monday morning's after watching football in the Goz for 7 hours!!
We intend to step up the miles after Xmas and New Year to try to get to somewhere closer to 100 miles per week, which will mean going out after work monday to friday as well.
Unfortunately there are just not enough hours in the day to allow us to get up to the 200 miles per week that we will be covering when the walk actually starts in April next year.
We have pledges from the following; Myself 7 days, Walks 3 or 4 days, Reedo 2 or 3 days, Hols 2 or 3 days, Kerro 7 days, TJ, the tank and Mr G 1 day.
We could do with a few more coming with us, so if you fancy it let me or waza know or post on this site. If you can't pledge any time no problems, can you pledge a donation. Jeffrey "bubbles bom-bom" Parker thinks waza can't do it so has said £1 per mile if he does (£420 that mind - cushty).
Even stranger things going on this morning. Andy Walker seen twiddling his thumbs at 05:30 on Kingstown Road as he had forgotten we were having a morning off........ Youll sleep well tonight Mad John..... see ya in the morning ya Radgie

Good one Walks ne reply to that one............. Only where were you this morning? Tossing a 10p coin should I shouldnt I? Tim Howards coming next week, a tenner says you will be there that day....swapping notes
I wondered who all the strange gadgees were as i was going to work in the van, now i know,Waza let me know if Walks needs a lift from his van to your front gate, you know what these old footy players are like always complaining about the slightest niggle!! by the way I am available to do some driving second week Tuesday onwards let me know when you get a schedule together. Seriously you guys keep up the good work, keep striding well, and keep Wilbo and Andy topped up with castor oil, good for the joints!!!!
It must be something to do with the time of the day, but walks turned up today with an imaginary friend and Waza jumped into the nearest bushes and pointed his dart gun at every passing cyclist.
Not sure what's going on with Walks, but managed to work out that Waza was practicing for next monday when Chester is back on 6 to 2.
Chester my little friend you are going to luv what we have got planned for you. NOT, FACT!!!!
Waza, chester has done us a kipper mate, I was on my way to meet walks and his imaginary friend this morning when who should I see speeding towards me on his bike, yes little chester. I think you need to bring the dart gun in the morning as he's back on 6 to 2.
And to my surprise when I got to Utd Biscuits this morning her is Walks and Raino walking towards me, he's real not imaginary.
