We didn't play well first half, seemed to think we could turn up to win, nevertheless went in at half time 3-0 up (the only memorable thing about that half was Robin Ward scoring with a header, yes you heard it right a HEADER!!).
Half time the players got a bit of a talking to and second half went out and played really well, creating chance after chance, and more or less being camped in the Parton half. Andy Sanko came on for the last 30 minutes and scored a very well taken hat trick. I was disappointed that we conceded as were a number of the lads, particularly Raino as he scored it, but this is a young team and they are all still learning.
My message to them was this game was a great example of what you get when you put the hard work in (2nd half) and not if you don't (1st half).
Finally, I would just like to say well done to the Parton lads who never stopped trying in the 90 minutes, they never moaned, they just got on with it, a rarity in this day and age.
I think they are as follows, but stand to be corrected by the lads;
Robin Ward (2), Josh Little, Andy Sanko (3), Olly Driver are definites and I think the remaining 3 were scored by Lee Sturrock, Jonno Simpson & Craig Bell.
I'm sure if OD got more than 1 he will be on the site telling us Brian, him and the caveman have a little side wager on who will score more goals this year.
