Gareth Barry, Roque Santa Cruz, Who will be next for the Dark side? Danny Graham, Clevland Taylor, looks like Sparky is struggling to mount a challenge to the Mighty Reds!!!disbelief

John- I would agree. They are solid players, but not world-beaters.

John, John, John,

Barry is a proven England international who will give the "good" side, not the "dark" side, some much need balance in the centre of the park and maybe release Kompany to play at centre back, his preferred position.

Santa Cruz is a proven goal scorer and a big target man, again something we have been missing last season. His presence will take the burden of the likes of Bellamy, Caceido, Sturridge and Benjani, non of whom are 1 up top types of strikers.

I see we are linked with Lescott and Toure, who are both good solid dependable defenders, and an england international. In addition, news from Eastlands is that Tevez will sign when his contract expires at the end of June and they are in talks with Barcelona about Eto.

I would watch this space as I expect more will arrive and a serious challenge can be mounted on a Champions league place.

So far as the dark side are concerned, you have lost Ronaldo and Tevez, two very gifted players and signed who? Nani is not good enough to replace Ronaldo and Berbatov doesn't work anywhere near as hard as Tevez. How many Man Utd fans would prefer Tevez to Berbatov, I would guess most!!

Lets hang on until the end of July and see who we each have signed, it should be interesting.

Waza - I can let you have Stan Tevez, bellas says he won't be using him mate.biggrin

There's just the possibility that the "big four" in the Premier League may find their gap closing a little bit. The challenging teams might be a bit nearer this coming season.
