Would any of our junior coaches like to go on the above course. The dates are Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th of July and Saturday and Sunday 18th and 19th July at Frenchfields, Penrith. The course is in danger of folding due to lack of numbers. I have offered to see if we can get some coaches from our club to enable the course to go ahead. If you are interested you will need to already have a Level 1 in coaching. Please can you get back to me ASAP if you would like to go on the course. Mike would love to attend. However, the timing is very poor. Most coaches are now having a well earned break as its been a long season, I think youll agree. Think the timing should have been more towards end of August? Just my point of view.
Hi Waza, not sure if it is just the timing of the course, or just lack of interest from coaches. Personally I have been waiting for the best part of 3 years for this course to come to Cumbria. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. There are 4 coaches from Carlisle City FC doing the course so a massive thank you to them for without them the course would more than likely have to be cancelled. Also thanks to the coaches (all 3 of you) who did reply to my text / e-mail saying they could not attend. For the others I will probably need a new carrier pigeon as the one I have does not seem to get about to everyone with the message.

Hi Brian, Steve, Carmen and myself attended the above course this weekend. It is based on the new strategy the FA are implementing over the next few years. it is aimed at 5 - 11 year olds and working on Agility, Balance & Coordination, but a lot of the ideas especially some of the practical sessions could be used at any age group. We have all thoroughly enjoyed it and I personally have picked up a lot of new information and ideas I can use with our teams.
