Kicking the ball out of play
Permalink

I see that Scottish side East Stirling have instructed their players to not kick the ball out of play, if an opposition player is down injured. Apparently, they conceded a goal recently when the opposing side continued playing, around an injured East Stirling man

What do people think of this?

As usual, the people who manage football have issued "guidance" which has confused what was a simple game.

Do we kick the ball out when a player is injured or not?

Answer - No. Football is competitive. If referee/officials feel the injury is genuine and serious, they stop play.

Play to the whistle and always respect officials decisions even when they are wrong.
