A big well done should be given to the girls who gained their first point since the revamp of the league. The girls travelled to frenchfields to play Castletown with only six players and earned a very creditable three all draw. Castletown agreed to play the game as a six-a-side, and it was them with a strong wind at their backs who took a two-nil lead into the interval. after a couple of tatical changes by the manager, Bender, we pulled a goal back soon after the restart. Castletown restored their two goal lead, the girls dug deep and pulled it back to three a peice. Castletowns response to this was to put on an extra player. Then with ten minutes to go Chloe Bell(daughter of the legendery city full back Mike Bell) fell and hurt her arm and had to leave the pitch for five minutes, leaving the girls playing five against seven. The girls showed tremendous character and determination through out the game and were a credit to Carlisle city.
