Just reading elsewhere on t'internet that Durham City's match the other night was postponed just before kick-off. They have a state-of-the-art 3G pitch but even this did not beat the freezing conditions. Even 3G gets frozen over seemingly.

Having just posted something re a winter break, I guess this post by Brian goes some way to supporting it.
I have to say though that I was surprised to read a 3G being "frozen"

I think I read something about it being brushed over just before kick-off, and this had caused it to freeze.
